Howard James Recruitment Optometry division are currently recruiting for an Optometrist within the Bolton area for a well known and well respected supermarket client.

Your main duties will be based around completing eye examinations/contact lens appointments in accordance with the guidelines laid out by the College of Optometrists and the GOC and to drive conversions and the average order value through delivering excellent customer service, whilst trading safe and legally.

Your role outside of the testing room will be vital to the success of the practice as you will be supporting the development and validation of the optical team whilst understanding and delivering accountability for supervision.

As optometrist you will ensure handovers are carried out to the highest standard, ensuring all areas are completed on GOS forms and make sure payment claims are completed accurately for all products and services supplied on the NHS.

You will make sure that all equipment is maintained for maximum effectiveness and you will keep up to date with changes and developments within the industry and ensure all continuing education training is completed

As optometrist you will be aware of all targets and key performance indicators and understand the impact on these, and work with the Opticians Manager to improve them. In the absence of the optical manager, there will be certain tasks that need completing or overseeing by you.
