Working on
behalf of a Claims Management Company
specialising in road traffic accidents which
provides a range of benefits and services to
insurers, insurance brokers, corporate
fleets and private individuals alike.
The Credit Hire Team Leader will have
overall day-to-day control and
responsibility for a team of claims handlers
who deal with the credit hire process. To
manage and motivate a team of up to 12 staff
to achieve targets in conversion, rental
length, hire monitoring and debt recovery.
To develop a team which delivers quality and
results.
Some of the responsibilities/Duties are:
Ensure that conversion into hire at mature
and immature levels reach or exceed business
targets. Ensure that this is done through
full compliance with company best practice
process.
Ensure that the monitoring of hire periods
fall in line with regulatory guidelines
whilst ensuring full compliance with company
best practice process.
Ensure that the recovery of monies owed to
either the company or its clients is
obtained in the shortest possible time and
the process is developed, documented and
communicated to all interested parties
Have specific day-to-day responsibilities
for a Credit Hire team to ensure it achieves
its business objectives and that staffs
individual and collective KPIs are attained
Act as the escalated technical referral
point for the team on a day-to-day basis
Constantly initiate and evaluate
opportunities to enhance performance within
the team ensuring performance shortfalls are
fully documented and performance development
is managed proactively.
Ensure that all required documentation is
gathered at the earliest opportunity and
that there are no delays in submission of
claims to third parties/third party
insurers
Ensure that training needs in staff are
identified and meet all the requirements of
each role. Depending upon the training
need, to attend to this personally or
communicate the need to HR if appropriate
Undertake regular auditing and quality
checks of team members cases including
technical audits on risk acceptance, risk
refusal, hire monitoring, and recovery
issues. Also undertaking audits on process
compliance in any of the above areas.
